E. Ethel Wilson (age 87)

On Monday February 9, 2015 Ethel Wilson, of Potomac, MD passed away peacefully. Beloved wife of the late Charles Lindburgh Wilson; mother of Charles L. Wilson, Jr. and Cynthia L. Wilson; grandmother of Hailey Savannah Wilson; and friend of Uncle Tommy Clarke.

Ethel Wilson was born in Sylva, NC on November 28, 1927. After High School, Ethel left Sylva and made the journey to Washington DC. Ethel met her future husband Charles Wilson whom she married in 1955. They fell in love and were destined to take advantage of all that Washington had to offer. Ethel enrolled in college and joined the National Security Agency where she had a successful 33 year career. In the evenings Ethel worked alongside Charles purchasing residential and commercial real estate and developing property. Together they led a rewarding life.

TERRILL, Nora Elmeda

NORA ELMEDA TERRILL (Age 100)
Died peacefully at the Conway Medical Center on Saturday, February 7, 2015 in Conway, South Carolina. Nora was born on November 10, 1914 in the Hillsdale, Kansas 80 acre farm home to James and Minnie Gruver. Graduating from high school in 1932, Nora attended Business School and worked as a secretary for the Public Works Agency in various small towns.A veteran of World War II, she earned the rank of Yeoman Second Class serving honorably in the Naval Personnel Separation Unit between July, 1943 and November, 1945. She was an active member of the Wheaton, Maryland American Legion for many years. Nora married Edmund Janon Terrill May 20, 1946, (a veteran of World War I and II), who passed on in 1970. She married Michael Ogurchak, (a veteran of World War II), in November, 1981 who died in 2012. Nora is survived by her two sons, James T. Terrill with wife Judy, (Hudson, FL), and three children, Bradly and wife Sonya their two children, Micah and Summer; Scott and wife Angela who are expecting shortly; and Megan and husband Mike and their daughter Keira; Robert E. Terrill, (Myrtle Beach, South Carolina) his wife Diane and their three children, Ted and wife Jenny and their two children, Emma and Andrew; Jennifer and husband Chuck and their daughter Olivia, and Ryan and wife Jesi and their daughter Francesca. Nora Terrill was an exceptional secretary and administrative assistant for the Department of Commerce and for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) retiring in 1979 after 37 years of service. She also worked for Montgomery Ward Department Store. Moreover, Nora typed numerous masters and doctoral dissertations earning money to support her “boys.” A viewing will take place at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Blvd., West, Silver Spring, MD on Friday, February 13, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon with the burial at Parklawn Memorial Park in Rockville, MD to follow.
